I am glad that you have made it here to send a distress signal, and inform the Senate that all on board killed. Dantooine. I’m not going to Alderaan. I really got to go. But that to me.
Let’s Know The Science of Early Childhood: Critical Periods
A critical period is a restricted time window in the life of an individual during which specific events must occur to ensure normal development.
Being a parent, caregiver, teacher, child life professional (for example, day care staff, health care professional, family, and social welfare staff) we need to know that the windows of opportunity are only effective when we are providing our child/ren a nurturing care and an effective environmental stimulus which the child can interact with.
So, if we want to maximize the benefits of the windows of opportunity in early childhood, we need to address the aspect of parenting. Because parenting works as a prominent determinant of child development. Family is the basic unit of society and parenting is its pillar. Strong pillars (which is parenting here) help to build strong foundation (which is better quality human being here) to serve our ever changing globalized world. However, human brain is considered as the control panel of human body as well as the most precious organ of a human being. Science has proved that about 85% of human brain development occurs during early childhood (0 to 5 years). And which is interesting here is that brains are built not born. Brain development in early childhood is critical towards securing a happy and healthy future. The problem, in terms of human brain development is that if the pathways in the brain are not built in the early years (by the end of 3 or 4 years) of childhood, they cannot be built later on. Here, we also need to remember that more than one million neural connections are formed per second in the first few years of life – a pace never repeated again. So, if we miss the time frame (due to lack of our knowledge, resources, life events or any other reasons) to provide high quality nurturing care for our young children, it causes the golden opportunity is lost forever. Under these circumstances, parenting knowledge helps us a lot to reap the benefits of the windows of opportunity in early childhood development.
