Childhood is the foundation stage of human life. The importance of early childhood development is vast (Harvard Center on the Developing Child, 2007) and has been recognized by international development agencies. For example, in goal number 4 (target number 4.2) of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it has been clearly mentioned that by 2030 we need to provide high-quality early childhood care and education for all girls and boys globally.

Parenting is considered as a primary way of socialization from human development, psychological, sociological and anthropological perspectives. It is said that humans are humans not only by birth but by the continuous process of socialization through parenting. Parents and other caregivers predominantly enculture their children as part of their parenting responsibility (Bornstein, 1991). Parents give their children a good start in life — they nurture, protect and guide their children. Thus, parents are the first caregivers and first teachers in their children’s life who require continuous scientific knowledge, skills, tips, tools, techniques to raise their children as a qualified future adult to serve this competitive ever changing and globalized world.
