Description

Parenting Training Module includes a special chapter titled as ‘Miscellaneous Topics’ Regarding Parenting where a series of parenting and child development related facts, aspects, and issues will be taught. And the topics for miscellaneous chapter include early stimulation (for example, how to talk, sing, read, laugh, tell story with your baby), infant safety, safe sleeping, sleep issues (for mother and baby), mother’s personal health and hygiene and care, colic issue, check-list for co-sleeping, breast or bottle, what is wrong with pacifier, toddler tantrums/ terrible two, sibling rivalry, separation anxiety of children, child bullying, child safety from sexual abuse and maltreatment, child spanking, time out, how to raise emotionally intelligent child/ren, right time to give your child first cellphone, parenting your tween and teen ager child/ren. The last chapter (18) of this training module is Mindfulness in Parenting. Parenting is a tough job which is well acknowledged globally and it often creates caregiver stress. To address the issue of caregiver stress (here it is parent/s), the Founder of Parenting Journey consciously included this chapter into the training module so that parents and caregivers can reduce/manage their stress (due to parenting or any sort of stress they experience in their day-to-day life) by practicing mindfulness.  Mindfulness practice provides parents a great tool to be more comfortable and confident and peaceful in their journey to the path of parenting which is an 18-years long journey by definition but in reality, this journey is more than 18 years particularly for Asian parents. Because child-rearing responsibility is not an 18-years job for Asian parents. Asian parents take care of their children for longer period than European and American parents.

So, Parenting Journey provided parenting training module is rigorous enough to equip parents of young children with necessary parenting and child development knowledge, skills, tips, tools and techniques to strengthen their families by building parenting capacity in order to make their parenting journey comparatively easier, smoother, comfortable and eventful.
